Jenan holds a BSc in Psychology from UCL and obtained a Distinction in her Postgraduate Diploma in Law. She was called to the Bar in 2002 and completed her pupillage at the distinguished media and defamation set, 1 Brick Court. She has practised in criminal law, including the Youth Court, general common law and all areas of media law, particularly defamation, privacy and data protection. Jenan has worked directly for a number of international media companies, including The Times and the Guardian. Jenan has experience of higher education law and has been assisting students at all levels of education, from A-level to PhD.
